The Imperial Memory Unit
March 19 2015The Imperial Memory Unit within Charing Cross Hospital offers patients access to the latest treatments for memory disorders through participation in clinical trials and research.
The clinical trials include investigations into novel treatments for early memory problems as well as treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The dedicated team of experienced doctors, nurses and psychologists are happy to speak with people about their current research.
The unit accepts referrals for research and clinical trials from GPs and other memory services. The team often accept referrals from patients that live outside of London and are not restricted by geographical boundaries.
In the video below, patients and their study partners, who’ve recently taken part in a trial at the Unit, talk about their experience.
